White House? NO WAY. GO PINK!

Dear Readers,

Mama and Baba asked us to pop on here and let you know that we're all still living. Well, duh Baba! They said something about life being very busy and so that's why they have been lazy, wait, they didn't say lazy, they said distracted and haven't blogged. We do have to admit that we have been keeping them on their toes. We're spotting new things to get into daily, and we aren't exactly the best listeners when they tell us "No." We have also let them in on our little secret...we can talk...um, lots. We are chatting so much it wears their ears out, they say. So, I guess that's why they haven't blogged. They fall asleep minutes after they think we have!

Right now we're in this place called Washington, D.C. Baba is not feeling too well, but he sure is happy to be here. He said something about it being special to us, now that we're Americans. Mama parked our stroller on this side walk in front of a building called "The Capitol" and Baba took a picture. I'm sure when they post you'll see how excited WE are to be here. All I know is they promised us a vacation and all we have gotten to do is ride in a car! We learned really fast how to get them to let us out of the car though. We took turns yelling, "Mama! My tummy hurts!" or "Baba, POTTY!!!!" The louder you yell it, or the sadder you sound, the faster they stop that Jeep! It gives us a few minutes to stretch our legs and get a snack usually! DO NOT tell them we told you about this!

Ok, well, it's late. Baba is in bed snoring. Pray he feels better soon. He wants to be here so badly, and we just hope he gets to enjoy it. Tomorrow Mama said we get to go to a White House. Not sure why it's white. White is so boring. We prefer everything in pink. A pink house. Now wouldn't that be nice?

Hugs to you, from us!

Love,
Abby and Laney

P.S. Thank you Mimi for feeding Kyler! And thank you Jordan and Ben, for playing with her and spending time at our house! We'll be home soon!

We're so excited for you! There was a great article in our paper for this important event. We're glad you were there so you missed the not-so-exciting stuff here. I'm sure you've heard though from family members about our Hurricane Ike experience. Have fun, happy and safe travels home. Can't wait to hear what it was like.

Dear Abby and Laney,
Thanks for finally posting. That's how Tony and I knew you were in DC. I was really glad that we met up with you and your mama and baba. Thanks for putting up with all of our boring grown up talk all evening. I know. We should have just been quiet and let the two of you talk. We really enjoyed hearing you count and say your ABC's. You two are so smart, and I know you'll be reading soon and writing more blog entries ! It was fun to hang out on the "stage." Then the policeman had to come and ruin our fun. I know, grown ups always do that. We enjoyed eating Godiva chocolates with you. Of course, you've been taught that chocolate is one of the food groups. However, you also set a great example for Niner at dinner by eating your vegetables. Thanks so much for coming and hanging out with us at the train station. Some other time you can come to Baltimore. We have this really cool aquarium with lots of neat animals. You can also go to the inner harbor and watch the boats. Maybe when you're older. Have a safe trip home. We miss you lots. Love, Niner and Treva

Well little ladies it sounds like you are keeping Mama and Baba busy. I hope Baba feels better for the White House. Take care of him, lots of little hugs and kisses always makes it better.

Enjoy the trip home and don't scream to loud.

LOVED the comment on my blog. I am so happy to meet another coffee addict. I was starting to feel alone in my addiction. But you get the need, especially with twins!

Hope you all had a good time in W-town! I like the pink idea. Hope you guys are doing well. That's great that you saw my dad on his tractor, I wish we could have seen him, although since I think he is rather enjoying being part of the various Wayne Co. parades these days, I should get another chance. :)
